2013

Milano, Italia.
This collection is inspired by reflections on the things that brought me joy in childhood.
One of my most cherished memories is watching the anime Sakura Card Captors, a show that left a lasting impression on my imagination. The name “Sakura” refers to the cherry blossom—Japan’s most iconic and symbolic flower.
More than just a seasonal bloom, the sakura represents impermanence. Its fleeting beauty has long been associated with the Japanese concept of mono no aware—a deep, emotional awareness of the transience of life. This connection between beauty, ephemerality, and mortality dates back to 18th-century Japan, where the cherry blossom became a poetic symbol of how precious, delicate, and short-lived moments can be.
This collection channels that same sense of fleeting wonder, translating childhood nostalgia and cultural symbolism into wearable emotion.
